Programs

Core Classes

Two-Year-Old (2 day, 3 day, or 5 day options)

Three-Year-Old (3 day, or 5 day options)

Four-Year-Old/FREE VPK (5 days)

Children entering the Two-Year-Old program must be two (2) years of age on or before September 1st of the school year for which they enroll.

Children entering the Three-Year-Old program must be three (3) years of age on or before September 1st of the school year for which they enroll.

Children entering the VPK program must be four (4) years of age on or before September 1st of the school year for which they enroll.

The curriculum is broken down into  monthly themes that relate to children's interests, and reinforce the areas of literacy, science, math, art, music, gross motor and fine motor skills, and socialization and relationship skills. Spirituality is interwoven throughout the school day.  Various other resources are used by the teachers to enhance ideas in these areas. Instruction is broken up into whole group times, small group times, and choice time for students to move through stations in both the traditional classroom as well as the outdoor classroom.  Children are encouraged to investigate and explore with hands on activities which develop learning skills and critical thinking.  We encourage children to learn through that most important early childhood component:  play.

A Note from our Director

At Memorial Presbyterian Day School, we believe in giving children the opportunity to grow, explore, and learn at their own pace. We facilitate the growth of the whole child:  intellectual/academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual.  We realize that each child is unique; we look to complement individual needs and work to reach each child's next step. At PDS, we have high curriculum standards and flexible hours to further enrich your child's day. We have highly qualified, experienced, and loving teachers with small classroom sizes so all children receive the attention they need. I look forward to hearing from you!
